Thousands of fans trooped to the Araneta Coliseum on Sunday night for Catriona Gray’s homecoming concert dubbed Raise Your Flag.
The packed venue witnessed plenty of screams especially during the fashion show segment where creations of local designers were presented modeled by past Miss Universe Philippines titleholders with special participation of Maymay Entrata, who stunned the crowd with her impressive catwalk skills.
The 21-year-old star sashayed the stage in her own “lava dress” by Mak Tumang–the same designer behind Catriona’s famous fiery red Miss Universe finals gown.
Also receiving loud cheers from the crowd were Miss Universe 2010 4th runner-up Venus Raj and Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach.
The star-studded fashion segment of the show also had Shamcey Supsup (Miss Universe 2011 3rd runner-up), Ariella Arida (Miss Universe 2013 3rd runner-up), Mary Jean Lastimosa (Miss Universe 2014 top 10 finalist), Maxine Medina (Miss Universe 2016 top 6 finalist), and Rachel Peters (Miss Universe 2017 top 10 finalist) walking the runway in red creations.
Catriona closed the segment recreating her lava walk in the iconic Mak Tumang gown she wore when she was crowned Miss Universe in Bangkok, Thailand.
The event served as the culmination of the 25-year-old beauty queen’s homecoming activities, which included city parades, TV appearances, and corporate sponsors visit.
Hosted by Boy Abunda and also featured the ABS-CBN Philarmonic Orchestra and performances by the TNT Boys, Bamboo, Jed Madela, KZ Tandingan and Kritiko, Raise Your Flag for Catriona Gray will be aired on ABS-CBN on March 10.
