From starring in a viral music video in September 2016, former PBB celebrity housemates and up-and-coming love team Elisse Joson and McCoy de Leon are trying to conquer the airwaves with a song they recorded together.
The duo, known to their fans as McLisse, has recorded a single entitled “If We Fall In Love” and was released simultaneously on YouTube and Spotify yesterday.
Produced by Rox Santos under Star Music, the sweet ballad is their rendition of the Yeng Constantino and RJ Jimenez original hit.
“We decided to record ‘If We Fall In Love’ because it perfectly suits the their love team. A lot of people are following their love team, and the song just fits the kind of kilig the fans feel every time they see the two together,” says Santos.
Elisse recalled joking about having an album with McCoy back in their days inside the Pinoy Big Brother house during its “Lucky Season 7” edition. And now, they have a single, an album is also currently in the works.
She also agreed with Santos’s observation on the song being a fitting “soundtrack” to her “love story” with McCoy.
“When I read the lyrics, I said that na parang ang hirap sabihin na bagay pero ‘yung na-feel ko parang sakto sa’min,” Elisse giggled.
Hashtags member McCoy feels it’s a “coincidence” that their song is entitled as such.
“We still have a lot of questions regarding our love team. It’s a coincidence I guess. Kumbaga, hindi pa namin alam kung anong meron din kaya sakto rin ‘yung kanta,” he said.
