Rising music label, 7K Sounds, is on a mission to bring out the Christmas spirit in its newest show, The Search for the Sound of Seven Thousand Christmas Songs.
The online reality search aims to discover Filipino Christmas songs that will amplify how hopeful Filipinos are for a happy Christmas, in spite of the ongoing global pandemic and national crisis.
In a virtual press conference held last Friday, host Jett Pangan introduced the people behind the online program.
The main hosts of the show are 7K Sounds founder and flagship artist, LA Santos, and multi-hyphenated TV personality Gretchen Ho. Joining the pair are 7K Sounds emerging artist and vlogger, Iman Franchesca, as well as singer-songwriter and former vocalist of General Luna, Nicole Asensio. Together, they will share stories of hope and survival amidst the crisis through one common factor: music.
“If the show becomes successful, we plan to hold similar contests so that we could discover more artists and give them a platform where they can showcase their talents. Maybe, be would focus on other genres in the future. But in the meantime, we are doing our best to share a good show with our audience,” LA told Manila Standard Entertainment.
The Search for the Sound of Seven Thousand Christmas Songs airs every Friday at 7:00 p.m. on the 7K Sounds Facebook Page.
