Occasional actor and reelectionist councilor Hero Bautista will star opposite Maria Ozawa and Daiana Menezes in Fusion, a film that will be streamed on Netflix.
The 50-year-old politician, who was accompanied by his sister Harlene when he met with the entertainment press on Wednesday, revealed that the film will start production after the mid-term elections.
“I just wanted to share this with our friends from the press who are here today,” Hero started. “We can’t reveal the plot just yet, but I’m sure it’s going to be something big since it will be available on Netflix.”
Hero, who is running for another term as councilor in Quezon City’s 4th district, also discussed the projects he has initiated for the city.
“We have initiated a few projects already including scholarship programs, medical and dental missions. Right now, we are helping QC tricycle drivers convert their vehicles into solar-powered units. We also have introduced a unified ID system for the city,” he shared.
The IDS he was referring to links all government agencies in the city government that will allow residents to do transactions without the hassle of providing different forms of identification. He’s also working on a project for QC’s “junior citizens,” which he said would give residents between 29 and 59 years old discounts on medical and hospital expenses.
“We grew up doing public service. And even in showbiz, we grew up doing something for the people. Namana naming yun sa aming tatay kaya we are just continuing his legacy,’ he ended.
