ABS-CBN and Xeleb Technologies Inc. forged a partnership and launched FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano mobile game, a runner type game app that allows users to experience the life of Cardo Dalisay (Coco Martin), who fights crimes and saves lives in the top-rating Kapamilya series.

Based on ABS-CBN’s top-rating primetime series, the mobile game lets users play as the series’ protagonist Cardo and patrol the streets of Metro Manila, apprehend snatchers, and save children. Players can also win special prizes along the way while dodging several obstacles, adding more action and thrill to users’ experience.

Like the successful series, the mobile game is also an instant hit among gamers with over 50,000 downloads within the first five minutes of its launch last May and is now approaching one million downloads.

“We are very happy that we get to promote the show’s advocacy through a platform that appeals especially to children. With this partnership, we hope to provide not only quality entertainment but also highlight valuable lessons through Kapamilya teleserye driven apps,” said Deo Endrinal, head of Dreamscape Entertainment.

“ABS-CBN has the intellectual property. We have the technology. It’s a powerful combination,” said Xeleb chairman and CEO Raymond Racaza. “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano is just first in the rich pipeline of games that are coming soon.”

Having aired for almost two years now, it has received praises for teaching viewers about the consequences of crimes and imparting life lessons about family and patriotism. It revolves around the life and struggle of Cardo, who recently went back to service as a member of the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) Special Action Force (SAF) to protect innocent lives from danger after the tragic death of his son.

The program has also remained unbeatable nationwide since it started airing in September 2015, based on data from Kantar Media covering urban and rural homes. Aside from avid viewers, the House of the Representatives and different government officials, like Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Mike Sueno and PNP chief Ronald De Rosa commended the series for promoting crime awareness and prevention among audiences.

Xeleb Technologies Inc. is the Philippines’ first celebrity game mobile company and is a subsidiary of listed Xurpas Inc. Xeleb’s principal shareholders include Anne Curtis, Kim Atienza, Isabelle Daza, and Erwan Heussaff.
