In a recent virtual junket for her month-long guesting in the top-rating GMA fantasy drama program Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko, Sanya Lopez pointed out the qualities she looks for in a guy.
The 25-year-old star said having someone who understands and accepts the kind of work she has is “really important.”
“It’s a fact that these days, it’s hard to find someone who will understand the demands of your work and who will love you no matter what,” she said.
Interestingly, her character in the latest installment of Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko titled “Oh My Oppa” is one who is so focused on the qualities she likes in a guy. The alluring actress stressed that in real life, it’s her complete opposite,” she added.
Sanya explained that most people set standards for the person they want to fall in love with.
“But when someone who doesn’t possess those characteristics arrives, it changes. When you’re happy and had fallen for that person, you forget the standards you’ve set. And I guess I’m one of those,” she stated.
The actress admitted that she hasn’t been into any relationship yet but at this point, she’s open to the possibility.
“I’m a certified NBSB (No Boyfriend Since Birth) but I’m not closing my doors now. It’s just that I’m not aware if someone is really interested in me. I’m clueless when it comes to that. I don’t want to assume,” she confessed.
“So, if ever the guy is showing signs of interest, please let me know. Basically, I’m like that. When a guy is close to me, my treatment of him is that of a friend. If he shows me sweet things, I don’t see it a special because we’re friends. So, it’s better if he will be open to me about his feelings. As I’ve said, it’s hard to assume,”
Meanwhile, talking about “Oh My Oppa,” which runs on air this whole November, Sanya shares her working relationship with her two leading men in the episode namely, Derrick Monasterio and Gil Cuerva.
“I only have good words for both of them. I’m super close to Derrick because we’ve done a lot of projects together before like the soap The Half Sisters plus our launching flick Wildest Dream. As for Gil, we’ve worked twice for Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko in the past. There’s no awkwardness whatsoever with these two guys. I’m very comfortable with them,” Sanya ended.
