In a recent virtual interview, TV star Sanya Lopez was asked if she feels threatened by the transfer of ABS-CBN talents to her mother studio, GMA. Some of the Kapamilya stars who already joined the Kapuso stable are Bea Alonzo, Richard Yap, Pokwang, and Beauty Gonzalez. John Lloyd Cruz is also rumored to follow suit.
“I’m not bothered at all. In fact, I’m even happy with such development. It only means that they have confidence and trust in the network,” the actress said in Filipino.
As one of GMA’s prized female leads, considering the success of her latest primetime project First Yaya, she believes that her network will continue to take care of her.
“It’s like, we’re a family and I’m one of their children. So, I don’t feel bothered,” she asserted.
Among the newly-transferred Kapuso stars, it’s Bea Alonzo who excites her the most. She confessed that she’s been a fan of the box office star.
“I watched all her movies before. In fact, all of my audition pieces are culled from her previous works. Even my audition piece for GMA Artist Center, it was based on one of her projects. We haven’t seen each other personally yet, but this early, the idea excites me. It is my fervent wish that I’ll be able to work with her in the coming days,” she revealed.
Apart from Bea, Sanya also dreams of working with John Lloyd Cruz.
“He is also one of my idols. If ever it’s true that he will also be a Kapuso soon, I hope I’ll be given the chance to collaborate with him in one project,” she said.
