Is Piolo missing in action?

In his recent interview with Bianca Gonzalez in Cinema News, Piolo Pascual revealed that if ever ABS-CBN offered him to be part of its remake of the popular drama series Doctor Foster opposite perennial screen partner Judy Ann Santos, he wouldn’t have reservations about committing to the project. This, despite his pronouncement two years back that he doesn’t want to do soaps anymore.

“If only to get the chance to work with Juday once again. Actually, I was talking to my friends about it and I knew the casting long before. I guess it would be a nice comeback vehicle for Juday and me if ever considering that our last screen project together was Don’t Give Up On Us, which was shown in 2006,” he said.

“If Juday accepted it, then I’d say yes. I’d do it in a heartbeat. It would be nice to work with her again. I don’t deny the fact that I owe her a lot, plus I’m one of her biggest fans. Juday is Juday. If there’s a chance for us to work again, I’ll always leave my door open,” Piolo added.

As everybody knows now, the plum roles went to Jodi Sta. Maria and Zanjoe Marudo. And Piolo was just happy for them to snatch the project.

With three movies in the pipeline, Piolo Pascual is excited to share his projects with his fans.

“I guess, it wasn’t meant for us. I wish Jodi and Zanjoe the best of luck. I’m sure they’ll do justice to their respective roles,” Piolo stated.

Since the TV5 variety show Noontime Live bid television goodbye, Piolo has not been very visible which is why many of his fans ask what’s keeping the good-looking actor busy these days.

“Actually, it’s only in television that I’m not that visible. I was never away, I took my time. I guess I just skipped the boob tube. My first love, my passion has always been the movies. I love films and that’s my priority,” the actor said adding that he has three movies in the pipeline.

“Hopefully, before the year ends, I’ll be able to finish them all. I also finished a couple of movies that just await release. Like the one I did opposite Alessandra de Rossi. She’s in tip-top shape if I may say so. She directed, produced, and wrote the project. Her talent is really exceptional,” he said.

Piolo is excited about his movie with Jasmine Curtis-Smith titled, Real Life Fiction, which is directed by Paul Soriano. Filming wrapped up in August last year and will be streamed soon.

“Then, there’s the film I did with Brillante Mendoza which is supposedly intended for our country’s Centennial celebration. The movie isn’t finished yet though I’m already done with my part. So you see making films is simply my priority. I’m really gearing towards doing movies at this point,” ended Piolo.

Yassi Pressman admits her excitement and elation now that she’s doing her maiden hosting job via TV 5’s latest game show offering called, “Rolling In It.”

“Oh yes! I’m proud because I’m the personal choice of the show’s original creators in the United Kingdom to host the Philippine version. Since its airing on August 8, 2020, the program has been number one in the UK,” she says.

Since she wasn’t able to undergo a hosting workshop for the show, Yassi is grateful to Robi Domingo for giving her pointers.

“That’s right! He called me up, gave me tips on how to do the job and said, ‘Just go, just be yourself and have fun!’ Thank you Robi!”

The pretty star also wants to thank her producers for entrusting the show to her.

“Of course, my deepest gratitude to ‘Rolling In It’ UK' and ‘Rolling In It Philippines.' Then, there’s TV 5, Cignal and Viva. Thank you for trusting me. It’s an honor to be here. For me, it’s such a huge challenge but more than anything, I’m so excited to entertain both the contestants and viewers,” Yassi avers.
