In a recent interview, Alden Richards announced that he sees himself growing old with mother studio GMA-7. He said that he will be a solid Kapuso “until the end.”
“There was never a point in my career that I considered switching networks. Why should I in the first place? GMA has always been supportive of me, especially during my low points,” he started.
“Every time a problem arises in my acting profession, I simply reflect with myself why I always opted to stay with GMA. They’ve always believed in my capabilities no matter how I do in the ‘biz. Even if there were times when the results of my projects didn’t turn out as expected, they’re consistent in giving me their all-out and unwavering support,” he carried on.
It’s good that amid all his current success, the be-dimpled lad remains humble, something that his followers love about him.
“I don’t put it in my head. Perhaps, it’s about staying true to yourself in spite of all the accomplishments you have. I don’t want to leave the Alden Richards before when I was just starting out in the business. I’ve witnessed a lot of things in those ten years and had unforgettable experiences,” he said.
“But I guess, your true self will always surface no matter what. You just can’t pretend. Maybe, that’s one thing I always keep in mind—don’t pretend to be someone that you’re not. That’s the most likely reason why I remain the same after all these times. My feet are firmly planted on the ground,” he added.
Looking back, it’s been a fruitful journey for Alden career-wise. People started to take notice of him in 2011 when he was tapped to be the male lead in the hit afternoon soap Alakdana. From there, he had made one hit project after another and became a household by-word.

In a recent virtual media conference, Joshua Garcia revealed that he plans to celebrate Christmas with his kin.
“I want to spend time with my family. It will be a different scenario now though because of the pandemic. I’ll just be with my dad, sister, and niece, and whoever wants to join us. I won’t be seeing many of my relatives in Batangas,” he shared.
Will it be a warm or cold holidays for him?
“Well, I guess it’s the latter. I don’t deny anyway that I’m single at present.”
Meanwhile, the 23-year-old actor admitted he felt as if starting all over again when he faced the cameras for the latest episode of the popular drama anthology Maalaala Mo Kaya.
“It was hard at first. You very well know that it’s been a while since I last had a regular soap and this was The Killer Bride, which ended at the beginning of this year. I also did the film Ang Mga Kaibigan ni Mama Susan, which shooting also wrapped up in the earlier part of the year and is yet to be shown commercially,” he said.
“When we were just starting the taping for MMK, I had difficulties. Our director (Nuel Naval) felt it at once. I guess it’s understandable since I was stuck up in the house for so long. I needed to warm-up like a machine,” he continued.
“I’m very thankful to Direk because he helped me adjust and guided me along the way. My gratitude goes to my co-actors, Mr. Nonie and Shamaine Buencamino as well. They’re good performers and I got their support. Everything turned out well,” Joshua ended.
