Arjo thanks fans for prayers, support after parents test positive for COVID-19According to Arjo Atayde, he and his siblings are grateful that they haven’t shown any symptoms of COVID-19 despite their parents having been tested positive for the deadly virus.

Their mom, actress Sylvia Sanchez, recently took to social media to share the sad news that she and husband Art Atayde have contracted the virus.

In his lengthy post on Instagram, Arjo Atayde, on behalf of his siblings Ria, Gela, and Xavi, took the opportunity to thank those who have extended their prayers and well wishes for their family.

In an attempt to allay the fear of his followers and people close to their family, Arjo posted a statement on his condition as well as his siblings Ria, Gela, and Xavi. He accompanied this with their family picture.

The actor admits that it’s not easy to take that his folks tested positive for COVID-19 but is grateful for the support and concern they receive from friends and a lot of people.

“We’d like to thank everyone for their overwhelming love and support. Although it is difficult and anxiety-inducing knowing that both our parents are positive with COVID-19, all the well-wishes and get well soon messages have definitely uplifted our family—especially them.”

The Kapamilya talent assures their friends that his parents are doing well after they were tested.

“A week into their self-isolation and a week after having their swab tests done, our parents are slowly getting better. Although it’s taking longer than their usual recovery time, we are happy to see them with their spirits still high.”

It is also relieving for the 29-year-old star that the people who came in close contact with Sylvia and Art don’t manifest symptoms of the coronavirus. This holds true for him and his siblings.

“It has enlightened us to know that no one that they have come in contact with before the quarantine and no one else here at home is showing symptoms. Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers.”

At this point, Arjo asks for more prayers for the eventual healing of his parents and that no one from their family gets contaminated with the virus.

“Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers. From my siblings and me, we ask that you continue to pray for our parents, our household that nobody else contracted it, every other individual and family dealing with this same ordeal and of course, all our front-liners who continue to risk their lives every day for our safety,” he ends.

Elmo Magalona recently took to social media to share some of his sweet photos with his new love life and expressed his happiness celebrating their first anniversary. However, he deleted them right away.

“I did it to protect the privacy of the girl who makes me happy at present. I feel like I need to share to [sic] everyone why I removed my post from yesterday. I should have been more considerate. I posted without telling anybody,” Elmo explained.

The Kapamilya star, who is a mainstay of the drama-action soap A Soldier’s Heart also asked apologies from his girlfriend’s family.

“Honestly, it was irresponsible thinking. I’d like to apologize to her, and her family for my actions and putting them in such a position. I don’t want to be taking away anybody’s privacy from them.”

The talented actor-singer appealed to his fans and followers to understand his decision.

“To everyone reading this, please disregard what I had to share last night. Let’s just focus on what matters right now. Peace to everyone.”
