Proud to go soloMaris Racal reveals that she’s not bothered if she had a falling out with screen partner Iñigo Pascual at the height of the promotion of their upcoming flick titled, I’m Ellenya L, which is an official entry to the 2019 Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino.

“Considering everything that has happened, it’s nice that I was able to accept the situation with an open mind. It didn’t take long. It also helps that in the movie, we’re not being promoted as a love team since it’s not a love story but more of a comedy,” Maris starts.

Maris Racal stars in her launching movie, 'I'm Ellenya L.'

“The movie is about social media and technology—on how to become influencers. Contemporary folks are into blogging, YouTube, right? I’m sure they can very well relate to the plot,” she adds.

Maris is happy about the movie because its theme is relevant. She’s also touched by the support of their producer especially when it comes to the promo. They assured her that it won’t border on the love team side. The promo will focus more on the storyline.

But people still want to know why her love team with Iñigo (more popularly called MarNigo) didn’t last long.

“Actually, I can’t remember what happened specifically. I admit that Inigo and I have slight misunderstandings at times but we didn’t have any serious fight. We just talked things over and mutually decided to just part ways as a love team,” Maris reveals.

“We have our individual differences. Career-wise, we have different viewpoints. I guess it is better that things turned out that way for us to focus more on our respective career. Early on, we just accepted that we’re not trekking the same road,” adds Maris.

The petite star narrates that they did I’m Ellenya L last year and experienced challenging phases.

“When we started shooting the film, our love team was still intact. We underwent some emotional tussle but as I’ve said, what’s good with the both of us is that we talked seriously on the matter on how it should get resolved. I appreciate the fact that our work relationship didn’t get affected despite the situation,” she says.

Maris is all praises for Iñigo’s professionalism while they’re shooting I’m Ellenya L.

“While doing the movie, we’re okay. That’s what’s good with the two of us. We don’t bring our personal problem on the set. We shoot scenes and do hosting stints together without signs of the problems we presently face. I guess we’re just professionals. And one positive thing about Iñigo, he doesn’t want to work with someone whom he has bad blood with. Before the shoot, he made sure that we’re okay. I really appreciated that,” she states.

Does this mean that at present, their special feelings for each other got lessened?

“Oh, it’s still special in the sense that the care is still there. Our friendship before is no joke. There will always be a soft spot. I can’t deny that our love team brought us many blessings: movies, commercials, etc. So it’s not like we don’t want to be with each other anymore. In the future, who knows, right? What’s important is that we talk and communicate until now.”

In case, is there a possibility that they’ll be back into their old state?

“I don’t know. It depends. Only time can tell,” she ends.

Setting a good example to her young fans, Liza Soberano is back to school. She is taking up Psychology at the Southville International School in Las Piñas City.

On her social media account, the beauteous lass uploaded a photo where she wrote that what she likes most about being a student is the joy of discovering new things and appreciating what the world has to offer.

It can be remembered that Liza took a break from show business because of a finger injury which made her back out from the latest big-screen installation of Darna. She even went to the USA for operation.

What’s good about her is that whenever she’s not busy doing a project, she opts to resume her studies.

“I want to take my studies seriously. I want to be a good role model for the youth. I want them to realize that school is important. Age is not a hindrance. Whatever age you are, you can always go back to school. It’s still different when you’re armed with a Diploma,” says Liza.
