Aliwan Fiesta Queen search goes online

While the annual grand Aliwan Festival 2020 got canceled due to the ongoing pandemic, Manila Broadcasting Company is pushing through with the special edition of Aliwan Fiesta Queen 2020 with nine candidates competing for the coveted crown.

Preliminary competitions are being streamed live on MBC’s social media platforms via the Facebook pages of Aliwan Fiesta, Love Radio, Yes The Best, Easy Rock and Radyo Natin and also aired over DZRH News TV. The Pride of Place (national costume) was held on Sept. 12, while the Talent Show was held on Sept. 19. The modeling competition and Q&A with the judges is set tomorrow, Sept. 26 while the Coronation Night is on Oct. 3.

The nine lovely candidates are Jasmine Omay (Tarlac), Bianca Wilhelmina Willemsen (Cebu), Jannarie Zarzoso (Agusan del Norte), Alana Monica Rhedey (Baguio), Nicole Angela Crescini (Aklan), Katrina Johnson (Davao), Esperanza Francisco (Naga City), Sharon Idone (Iloilo), and Alyssa May Nicholls (Sultan Kudarat).

Winner of Aliwan Fiesta Digital Queen 2020 takes home a cash money of P50,000,  1st runner-up receives P25,000, and 2nd runner-up, P15,000. They will also receive the counterpart amounts for their respective chosen charities, while the other candidates get consolation prizes. Special awards include the Netizens Choice, Miss Unique Smile, Miss Tibay Tanduay, Miss Charm, and Miss White Rose.

ULTRA, the Ultimate in Health and Beauty, together with ProMedia Productions, launches the newest pageant in the new normal­—Miss FIT Philippines 2020.

With a focus on F.I.T. or Face, Intelligence, and Tone (Toned Body), this virtual beauty pageant advocates fitness, defined as “good health and the strength of the empowered woman.” 

Miss FIT Philippines believes that beauty is encapsulated in the three forms of fitness: mental, emotional and physical, also known as holistic fitness. 

For this 2020 edition, wholistic fitness is taking a more profound role in fighting the global pandemic, making this pageant more relevant than ever.

If you are a biologically-born female, with Filipino lineage living in the Philippines or overseas, single, have never given birth, 18 to 26 years old and at least 5'4”, this is your chance to become the first ever Miss FIT Philippines in this nationwide and overseas search.

Prizes are: MFP 2020 Ultra Queen – P100,000 (cash), 1st runner-up – P60,000 (cash and prizes), 2nd runner up – P40,000 (cash and prizes), 3rd runner up – P20,000 (cash and prizes), 4th runner up – P20,000 (cash and prizes).
