Before the enhanced community quarantine was implemented, a total of fifteen candidates of Mrs. Queen of Hearts Philippines 2020 were presented to the press at Okada Manila. The official candidates are vying for seven titles at stake.
During the event, Melissa Quiambao of Quezon City, Sarima Paglas of Maguindanao and Louise Suzanne Alba Lopez of Quezon City were voted Darling of the Press.
A pageant for married and single mothers, Mrs. Queen of Hearts Philippines is a presentation of the Queen of Hearts Foundation, Inc., headed by Mitzie Go-Gil, which seeks to provide assistance to poor children, humanitarian service to the underprivileged sectors and promotes women empowerment thru beauty pageants and livelihood programs and training.
The fifteen candidates competing for the titles of Mrs. Global Universe Philippines 2021, Mrs. Worldwide Philippines 2020, Mrs. Asia Pacific Global Philippines 2020, Mrs. Asia Pacific All Nation Philippines 2020, Mrs. Asia Pacific Tourism Philippines 2020, Mrs. Asia Pacific Intercontinental Philippines 2020 and Mrs. Asia Pacific Cosmopolitan Philippines 2020 are Heraldine Cuanico Barcena (Bicol), Melissa Quiambao (Caloocan), Ivy Diana Bo (Cavite), Catherine Malacad (Dasmarinas), Joana Krisanta La Madrid (Ilagan), Joybelle Corpuz Portabes (Isabela), Catherine Castillo Jordas (Laoag, Ilocos Norte), Sarima S. Paglas (Maguindanao), Dorie Pizarra (Marinduque), Darling E. Topacio (Misamis Oriental), Annette Mendoza (Pampanga), Francesca Chin Yhang Park (Parañaque), Louise Suzanne Lopez (Quezon City), Glovel Tasco (Batangas) and Lalaine Federizo (Valenzuela).
Reigning queens who graced the event were Mrs. Asia Pacific Global 2019 Grand Winner Avon Morales, Mrs. Worldwide 2019 2nd runner-up Llena Tan-Arcenas, Mrs. Asia Pacific Philippines Cosmopolitan 2019 Mary Chris Abacahin-Camacho, Mrs. Intercontinental Philippines Gynes Olbes, Mrs. All Nations Philippines Jennifer Siabug-las, Mrs. Philippines Asia Pacific Tourism2019 Marjorie Barillo Orito with the newly-appointed queen, Mrs. Global Universe Philippines 2020 Rosenda Casaje.
The grand coronation of the Mrs. Queen of Hearts Philippines 2020 was set for April but has been moved to a later date owing to the novel coronavirus outbreak.
