There will always be horror tales of actors or actresses who wasted their influence and gains to vanities and vices. However, glad to report that there are more idols, from the past and present, who managed their personal lives and took good care of their finances.

Danilo Barrios, known as one of the more popular members of the immensely popular dance group Street Boys, is a fine example.

Presently, this loving husband and doting father is the president of Tatiomax Pharma Corporation, which runs the brands Ysabelle Spa and Skin Clinic, Hugo Clothing, My Precious One, and Tatio Dx Beauty and Wellness Center. Regina, his wife, is the   Chief Operating Officer.

A few months ago, they launched a four-day donation drive to help typhoon Ulysses victims in Cagayan Valley Region.

“It was a platform that we initiated to raise funds to build support for people that suffered unexpected disasters. It was started immediately when the news showed how distressing the aftermath of the typhoon,” Danilo said.

“It started with a pledge that part of the total sales from our month-long 12th-anniversary celebration will be donated to the typhoon victims. That commitment to raise more funds gave us the chance to reach out to the affected communities because of Ulysses/ Some 10,000 packs of relief goods were distributed during a four-day visit to the distraught areas of Cagayan and Isabela,” he carried on.

Danilo is most grateful to all those who joined them in the fund drive and also to the local officials and marshalls that assisted them to ensure that COVID-19 protocols were observed as they went to certain areas burdened by the disaster.

Apart from food, hygiene kits, supplements, important medicines, water, blankets, clothes, and other necessities were distributed.

“No one should feel that they were abandoned and nobody cares for them during times like these. To see the smiles and the faces of the people lighting up when we give them our modest gifts, at yung sincerity of their being grateful are priceless,” he averred.

When you sow the seeds of love through this act of paying forward, the Universe not only sees it, but shows its appreciation to the givers in a multitude of ways.

“Business has become bullish. Sales are up. People do not consider the phrase health is wealth as a cliché anymore. We have more resellers now. Mga work from home sila,” he said.

Aside from doing business, Danilo disclosed that he also took a short course in Culinary Arts to make healthier food for his kids and the family.

“We need to stay fit and healthy para mas marami tyong magawa and mai-share sa iba and sa family. We have a new baby boy, his name is Alejandro. My wife had a safe delivery and both my Regina ang son are healthy and happy.”

“We already have three kids, pero we want two more,” Barrios confessed. “My growing family is my source of happiness and inspiration.”
