#FlexMoNa campaign encourages public to get vaccinated

GMA Artist Center promotes the importance of getting the COVID-19 vaccine via the launch of #FlexMoNa online awareness campaign.

Through this timely initiative launched on Aug. 19, the talent arm of GMA Network aims to encourage action among Filipinos, and create a bandwagon effect through the help of the artists by asking their fans to join the movement in preventing the spread of the virus.

Using #FlexMoNa on social media, GMA Artist Center talents will post their vaccination photos and tell their own story on what made them decide to get vaccinated.

According to GMA Artist Center Assistant Vice President for Talent Imaging and Marketing Simoun Ferrer, they’re hoping that this will help those who are still hesitant about getting the jab, "There is still a majority of Filipinos who are unwilling or hesitant to get the COVID-19 vaccines for various reasons, like fear of side effects, waiting for their preferred brands, or some are intimidated by the whole process. With the emergence of new and more contagious COVID-19 variants, vaccination, aside from practicing safety protocols like wearing masks and social distancing, will help us reach herd immunity and prevent further spread of the disease."

Various Kapuso stars are involved in #FlexMoNa including Alden Richards, Julie Anne San Jose, Sanya Lopez, Bianca Umali, Ken Chan, Gabbi Garcia, Khalil Ramos, Barbie Forteza, and Jak Roberto, to name a few. They all took to their personal social media accounts their own stories and experiences of being vaccinated in hopes of minimizing vaccine hesitancy and fighting against the emergence of more contagious COVID-19 variants in the country.
