Breakout star Royce Cabrera and television actor Jak Roberto inked a management contract with GMA Artist Center (GMAAC) in separate events on Friday, Dec. 11.
Present during the contract signing for Jak, who renewed his ties with the talent management agency, were GMAAC Assistant Vice President and Head for Talent Imaging and Marketing Unit Simoun Ferrer, GMAAC Senior Talent Manager Tracy Garcia, and Jak's co-manager Frank Mallari.
“I’m proud to be Kapuso, it’s a great feeling to be part of a network that provides not only entertainment to the public and relief during trying times,” Jak said while reaffirming his commitment to GMAAC.
He also expressed his appreciation to the people who supported him from day one and teased his fans about his upcoming projects next year.
“I’d also like to thank my fans for their unparalleled support. Marami po silang aabangan mula sa akin sa darating na taon kaya sana abangan po nila,” he said.
The 27-year-old actor, who started his career as a co-host and performer in Walang Tulugan with the Master Showman, also brings joy to his fans by sharing his captured moments from his travel, his love for motorbikes, and bonding with his loved ones on his YouTube channel which has now over two million subscribers.
Meanwhile, 24-year-old Royce became the new hunk on the Kapuso block when he was welcomed by GMAAC as the latest addition to its roster of talents.
Present during his contract signing were GMA top guns Simoun Ferrer and Tracy Garcia, and Royce's co-manager Ernesto Unay.
“I feel happy and excited because of their warm welcome. I look forward to doing more projects with the network where I can showcase my talent in acting,” Royce said as looks forward to an exciting career as a Kapuso.
When asked about the Kapuso stars he wishes to work with, Royce listed Dennis Trillo and Sanya Lopez as the actors that he would like to share the screen with.
Royce will soon star in one of the installments of the upcoming GMA Public Affairs drama anthology My Fantastic Pag-ibig, which will feature a series of compelling love stories set in present times, infused with exciting and dynamic plots.
He has previously appeared in a number of independent films in the past, including Fuccbois and Lola Igna. He was also part of the Magpakailanman episode “Fishergays.
