As a first-time mother, Angeline Quinto spends most of her time caring for her newborn son, Sylvio. While she hasn’t any prior experience in the role, she makes up for it by seeking advice from fellow mothers and experts. She also loves to research baby products and how they can affect her baby.
“Sobrang nakakarelate talaga ako sa pagka-choosy ng mga mommy nowadays sa pagpili ng mga products na ginagamit nila. Kahit ako very pihikan sa mga ginagamit ni Baby Sylvio,” she said.
The Queen of Teleserye theme songs also divulged that despite her sometimes hectic schedule and the presence of a helper for Sylvio, she remains a very hands-on mother who stays by her son’s side for hours. However, when she has other commitments in the morning, she leaves her son in the care of her partner, Nonrev Daquina.
Ultimately, they have a give-and-take relationship so they both can meet their needs while looking out for their firstborn son.
Another way that Angeline cares for Sylvio is by looking after herself. Now that she’s back to work, Angeline is finding other ways to stay healthy so she can better perform her motherly role and tend to her son.
“Before, hindi ako masyadong ma-alaga sa sarili ko. Siguro dahil ang hilig kong kumain na kung ano na lang ‘yung gusto ko, kahit hindi healthy, kakainin ko. Pero since dumating ‘yung anak ko, mas iniingatan ko ‘yung sarili ko,” she said.
Her lifestyle change, albeit slow, includes dieting despite others saying she doesn’t need to. Yet, for Angeline, it’s one step closer to being healthy. And whenever she goes out to work, before returning home to Sylvio, Angeline takes an antigen test to protect her son from the COVID-19 virus.
Early in her journey as a mother, Angeline realized the need for products that care for both moms and babies. With all the brands available in the market, it’s hard for mothers like Angeline to find what’s best for her and Sylvio. She solved this dilemma by starting her own company, Twinqle.
The Queen of Teleserye Theme Songs took on the role of CEO of Twinqle and partnered with individuals knowledgable in pediatrics, marketing, and finance. She officially launched her company on June 15, Wednesday, at Dusit Thani Makati.
“Ang goal talaga namin ng mga partners ko is to create effective and affordable products na ramdam ‘yung alagang ina na walang kapantay. Sinigurado namin na quality lahat from ingredients, production, and certification. We made sure na safe at effective ang bawat Twinqle product,” she said.
Some Twinqle products for babies include bar soap, outdoor spray, and top-to-toe wash that’s paraben-free. Meanwhile, mothers can choose from a scar gel, stretchmark oil, and breastfeeding balm to soothe their post-pregnancy woes. The products are also vegan, cruelty-free, and affordable.
Other than developing a skincare line for moms and babies, Angeline also highlights that Twinqle will also open income-generating opportunities for stay-at-home moms, working moms, and budding entrepreneurs.
Twinqle will be available through exclusive distributors and resellers nationwide. For business inquiries, email the sales team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
