Love Is Color Blind

Star Cinema’s bubblegum romance, starring Twitter’s favorite sweethearts Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano, is the highest-grossing film of 2021. That’s according to Mico del Rosario who made the announcement on Instagram. While the post is no longer available, “resibo” instantly spread online with DonBelle fans celebrating the feat. Though no figures were quoted, which is definitely odd, it’s easy to believe how a mediocre romantic drama can achieve such an incredible milestone.

Gameboys

The adorable gamers turned lovers Gavreel and Cairo (played by Kokoy de Santos and Elijah Canlas, respectively) whose relationship and struggles are relatable because we’ve experienced them at some point in our lives, are set to woo a different set of audience. After playing with the emotions of local fans, this time, it’s premiering in Japan. If that isn’t a level up, we don’t know what is. Talk about gamechanger.

Kim Chiu

She doesn’t seem to have learned her lesson even after being heavily bashed due to her “bawal lumabas” blunder. Netizens are calling out the actress again for her random statements in the ABS-CBN’s noontime variety show It’s Showtime. Who wouldn’t feel bothered listening to a public figure condone cheating and promote animal cruelty? Kim has already explained herself, saying that it’s not what she meant. We know that she can only do so much apologizing but how many times do we have to consider her kind of defense?

Sparkle

Just so you know, GMA Network’s talent arm has rebranded itself with a less effulgent name and relaunched its lineup of “brightest stars.” While other management agencies field their priority list of talents with new faces, Sparkle just recycled its roster with existing names. Behind the effort is Mr. M, whose star magic wand starts to look like a dying ember. With him on top of the effort, will these talents glitter or just simply spark? Let’s wait and see.
