Binibining Pilipinas frontrunners emerge at press presentation

The forty lovely candidates of Binibining Pilipinas 2019 showed their fighting forms in swimsuits during the media presentation held at the pool area of Novotel Manila Araneta on Thursday.  

This year’s batch are women of different professions from lawyer to flight attendants, beauty titlists, models to students, all eyeing one of the new six titles at stake with the Miss Philippines Universe crown as the most coveted. The other crowns are Binibining Pilipinas International, Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental, Binibining Pilipinas Supranational, Binibining Pilipinas Globe and Binibining Pilipinas Grand International.

Among Binibining Pilipinas top favorites during the press presentation held on Thursday at Novotel in Araneta Center are (top clockwise) Vickie Rushton of Negros Occidental, Hannah Arnold of Masbate, Patricia Magtanong of Bataan, and Maria Andrea Abesamis of Pasig City.
 

“They are the cream of the crop,” said BPCI chairperson Stella Marquez Araneta who is aiming to continue the winning streak of Filipinas on the world stage of beauty competitions.

A short list of fifteen candidates are shoo-ins for the big titles to be won come the grand coronation night on June 9. They are, in random order, Bea Patricia Magtanong of Bataan, Gazini Ganados of Talisay City, Cebu, Leren Mae Bautista of Laguna, Maria Andrea Abesamis of Pasig City, Samantha Mae Bernardo of Palawan, Hannah Arnold of Masbate, Ilene De Vera of Mandaue City, Cebu; Julia Saubier of Legazpi City, April Short of Zamboanga City, Emma Mary Tiglao of Pampanga, Resham Saeed of Maguindano, Jessarie Dumaguing of Puerto Princesa, Vickie Rushton of Negros Occidental, Marie Sherry Ann Tormes of Polangui, Albay, Maria Isabel Galeria of Sorsogon,  and Joanna Rose Tolledo of Caloocan City.

The favorites and frontrunners during the press presentation were cheered on by the fans and fellow beauty queens that include the reining queens and past titlists.

The press presentation is the second of the major pre-pageant activities after the Talent Competition. The candidates will be next seen in a Fahion Show at New Frontier Theater on May 29 after the highly anticipated Grand Parade on May 25.
