Barbie Forteza gushes over comparisons to Kathryn Bernardo

Fans have been comparing Barbie Forteza’s romantic comedies to Kathryn Bernardo’s. When asked about these comparisons, Barbie just gushed about her admiration for Kathryn, calling her a role model.

Barbie praised Kathryn’s exceptional ability to manage her career and personal life, attributing these qualities to Kathryn’s success and numerous product endorsements. She found it inspiring how the actress carries herself both on and off the screen and felt honored to be compared to her.

Kathryn Bernardo recently starred in Petersen Vargas’ film ‘A Very Good Girl’ together with Dolly De Leon

“For me, being compared to her is really a huge honor. I really hope that we’d be given a chance to work together on one project in the future since she is one of the actresses I admire in our generation,” she said during the press conference for her upcoming film, That Kind of Love, opposite David Licauco.

The movie is their first movie together after starring in highly successful TV projects like Maria Clara at Ibarra and Maging Sino Ka Man. They will be seen next in the historical war drama Pulang Araw.

Asked what kind of love she has for David, Barbie said:

“It’s something that’s not an overnight thing. When we reached the level of friendship that was needed to make the partnership work, I felt that I was the one who guided or supported him. I experienced that when we flew recently to Canada for our Sparkle tour.

“I really went out of my way to support him on stage as we all know that David is still a bit shy facing a large crowd. So, it’s more of that – showing my support to him in the best way I can so that our love team will truly work!”

Migui Moreno is proud to be part of the play Ka.SEEN.halaga (HPV Out!), presented by Frontline Production, Inc. and the Rotary Club of South San Francisco, California. The play will be staged at the RCBC Theater in Makati City on July 14.

“I love this play because of its advocacy—to spread awareness and information on the Human Papilloma Virus. That’s why I said yes to Direk Rodel Mercado when the project was offered to me.  Actually, I opted to do this one than another play offered to me at the same time,” he averred.

What does he like about his character in the play?

“The role of Roger, a father who has throat cancer because of HPV, attracted me most because it is a huge challenge for me as an actor. Portraying a person who has throat cancer that he got from HPV gives me a better understanding of the disease and how one copes with this situation.”

The play will have its rounds on various campuses and universities.

“That’s right! We will also have outreach performances. These will happen in September. The show will run until June next year. I think it’s timely so that kids will be informed early about HPV. We want to educate them,” Migui ended.
