Misters of Filipinas’ Vandave Paragas is competing today in I Am Model Search International 2023 at the Grand Pacific Hall Evolve Concept Mall Ara Damansara, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The “world finals” is hosted by PEPPs TV Artist Inaki Torres and Miss Supranational Malaysia 2022 Melisha Lin.
Paragas, 23, is a model and was named Mister Tourism Culture Universe Philippines at the Misters of Filipinas 2019 pageant but was not able to compete due to the pandemic.
“This is a dream come true to represent the Philippines in an international pageant,” Paragas said during an interview.
I Am Model Search (IAMS) International 2023, organized by Double Event Management, is a platform to give equal opportunity to all aspiring models to obtain branding and networking as a stepping stone for international modelling career. Maida Faith Basilio, Leandrea Batingan, Mico Teng, and Rizmel Cabigao are also competing for the Philippines in the adults category.

Student appointed Miss Progress Philippines 2023
Selin Hernandez, a 21-year-old model and student in Business Administration at Far Eastern University, was recently appointed Miss Progress Philippines 2023 in the crowning and sashing ceremony held at Ambrosia Manila, BGC, Taguig. She was crowned by outgoing Miss Progress Philippines 2022 Zea Awatin, who was named Miss Progress International-Human Rights 2022 in Miss Progress International 2022.
Hernandez, who previously won Miss Teen Hope International 2018 in South Africa, will compete in the 9th edition of Miss Progress International in September in Puglia, Italy.
A native of Macabebe, Pampanga, Hernandez aims to become the second Filipina to win Miss Progress International after Jedaver Pancho Opingo in 2017.
Miss Progress International is a pageant that promotes projects concerning health, human rights, the environment, and cultural integration.

Riza Oben Dormiendo celebrates 60th birthday
Beauty queen/actress Riza Oben Dormiendo, Mrs. Philippines Face of Beauty International 2019, recently celebrated her 60th birthday with a big bang theme party “Little Black Dress with Royal Ascott Hat,” held at Salon De Ming, Manila Peninsula Hotel in Makati City.
Dormiendo’s birthday bash will be featured as the cover story in the latest issue of GANAP International Magazine.
Well-known personalities including Noble Queen Universe Ltd. national director Patricia Javier, fashion designer Joyce Penas Pilarsky, Queen of Hearts’ founder Mitzy G. Gil, and Mrs. Universe Philippines national director Maria Charo Calalo, attended the affair.
