A few months ago, Boy Abunda revealed that he wanted to return to television. Talking to the members of showbiz press, the King of Talk made it clear that he was already in talks with some networks about his plan to make a comeback on the small screen underscoring the “different kind of magic that television brings to people,” and to himself as TV host.

“As to the question if I’m moving, actually, I keep on moving. I just want to move. But at this point, I have not much to say,” Abunda told the press leaving more speculations whether of not he’s jumping from one network to another for his much-anticipated return.

On December 15, Abunda signed an exclusive contract with GMA Network. Present during the event were top executives led by the network chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe L. Gozon.

Seasoned TV host Boy Abunda faced the press shortly after signing an exclusive contract with GMA Network.

“It comes from this whole notion that you go back to where you started. I have come full circle because I started my talk show career with GMA and I am back right now. It’s fulfilling, but it humbles you because you didn’t do it alone,” Abunda said revealing that he was happy and grateful to return as a Kapuso,

The award-winning talk show host also teased the viewers about his upcoming project in GMA, “We started to brainstorm. We started to talk about content. Ano ba ang ginagawa ngayon, what’s happening in the environment now, kailangang aralin. I’d like to be able to have meaningful and fun conversations with [various Kapuso personalities].

GMA Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Atty. Felipe L. Gozon equally shared how fortunate GMA is to welcome Boy Abunda once again as a Kapuso, “Kami ay nagagalak na si Boy Abunda ay nagbabalik sa Kapuso Network. Si Boy ang King of Talk na marami ang gumagaya ngunit hindi siya napapantayan. I am confident that Boy’s future in GMA Network will be nothing but success.”

Meanwhile, GMA President and Chief Operating Officer Gilberto R. Duavit, Jr. highlighted the lasting accomplishments of Tito Boy, “Nag-umpisa si Boy noon as a budding publicist and over the years, I’ve seen him grow and evolve to become what he’s now referred to as the icon. It’s a great pleasure for all of us that you’re coming back home. We are all proud to have you back.”

GMA Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Felipe S. Yalong also expressed his excitement over Tito Boy’s return to television, “I’d like to formally welcome you to GMA Network and hope that you will enjoy your stay with us. I’m pretty sure again that you would set a trend as far as these types of shows that you would be in.”

GMA Senior Vice President for Entertainment Group Lilybeth G. Rasonable, on the other hand, reminisced about their long journey with the King of Talk, “It was all worth it. Isa lang ang masasabi ko, welcome home Kuya Boy and I’m so excited about all the things that we will be doing together. It will be really an exciting and entertaining year next year for us here in GMA and thank you for deciding to come back to your home network.”

Nowadays, more and more people seek information and entertainment from reputable influencers just like the one and only King of Talk, Boy Abunda.

His wit and knowledge are well-regarded by the audience and celebrities. He delivers showbiz news based on facts and maintains his exclusive access to stories that social media alone cannot provide.

Boy Abunda has indeed become a credible talent manager, star builder, brand and imaging expert, entertainment journalist, or simply called the authority.
