No Australian beauty has ever won Miss Earth since its inception in 2001. It may happen this year with the stunning Miss Earth Australia 2022 Sheridan Mortlock.
Mortlock, a 22-year-old model, and currently taking a double degree in Bachelor of Arts and International Relations / International Global Studies at University of Wollongong, Sydney, South Wales, aspires to be a member of the Australian Parliament someday. She made a strong impression with her eloquence and winning personality during a meet-and-greet affair held by ProMedia Team at Luxent Hotel in Quezon City recently.
Mortlock, who hails from Paddington, Sydney, New South Wales, is a Taylor Swift look-alike. She won Miss Earth Australia on her third attempt at the title.
“Part of my advocacy for Miss Earth is ‘Education’ and this is something that I firmly stand behind. When we heal the Earth, we heal ourselves. I believe that it is now time to look at the silver linings in our climate change battle. We can still turn over a new leaf and work together to save mother earth and all her beauty,” said Mortlock who believes that Miss Earth provides an excellent platform to amplify our voices and action for the protection of mother earth.
The Coronation Night of Miss Earth 2022 is set at Okada Manila on November 29.

‘The Power of An Icon’ at the Cannes
Anthony Brillantes’s award-winning short film The Power of An Icon will have its international debut at the 76th edition of the Festival de Cannes set from May 16 to 27, 2023.
The Power of An Icon, a film that deals with the importance of self-love, won for Riza Oben Dormiendo, Mrs. Philippines Face of Beauty International 2019, the Best ICon Performance by a Female honors at the recent first Manila International Fashion Film Competition.
Dormiendo may walk Cannes’ red carpet after her film received an official invitation to be shown at the Special Screening section of the prestigious film festival. Dormiendo said that it will be an honor to be part of the Cannes and will take it as inspiration to do bigger roles.
