On Friday, award-winning actress Iza Calzado revealed her first pregnancy with her husband, Ben Wintle, who she wed last 2018.
“They say life begins at 40,” the actress shared the start of her new chapter on a lengthy Instagram post, showing her baby bump as she marks her 40th birthday.
“So I had all these big plans for my 40th year on Earth as it also coincides with my 20th year in the industry. I have already completed a few exciting projects lined up for me, and there were a few dream projects in the pipeline. I was ready to usher in this new chapter in my life. Then you came along. Unexpectedly. You may not have been in my immediate plans, but I instinctively knew that this was THE plan,” her post read.
“They were right. Life does begin at 40. Simply put, your life begins as your mother turns forty. To know that life is growing inside me is a great miracle. You are my miracle. You are my guiding light. Thank You, Lord, for the most beautiful birthday gift. Our ABUNDANCE,” she added.
The soon-to-be mom will be starring in the much-awaited fantasy-action series Mars Ravelo’s Darna on August 15, replacing the long-running series FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano. She will portray the first Darna, Leonor, who will pass her superpower to her daughter Narda (Jane de Leon).
