Police rescued actress Ana Jalandoni at a hotel in Tagaytay City after being allegedly abused and detained by her boyfriend, actor Kit Thompson.
The actress reportedly sent a photo of herself while asking for help from her friends, who later alerted the authorities. Hotel staff also alerted Tagaytay police after checking on a commotion occurring in the couple’s room.
Nico Baua of ABS-CBN News reported in a tweet today, March 18, that Tagaytay police took Kit to the station for questioning. The hotel staff also provided a statement on the incident. Meanwhile, the police rushed Ana to the emergency room to undergo treatment for her injuries.
Kit’s management, Cornerstone Entertainment, has yet to receive a formal report on the incident, as per Baua. However, the agency requested the public to “be mindful of casting judgment based on unfounded reports being circulated online.”
