Nica Zosa kicked off the Philippines’ winning tradition for 2022 after claiming the first Miss Summit International 2022 title held in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA on Thursday. Miss Canada and Miss USA were named first and second runners up, respectively.
The 22-year-old Zosa, who hails from Medellin, Cebu, bested 22 other representatives for the crown and also bagged the Best in Swimsuit and Miss Photogenic special awards. Her prize includes a movie contract with Alien Donut Films in USA.
The Miss Summit International Pageant offers an opportunity to become an ambassador for “Miss Summit International,” who is the epitome of the pageant’s vision and values; and which focuses on three key points: Connect, Empower, and Peace for all women around the world. The pageant aims to promote young women, as well as their passion and their accomplishments, and to empower women to develop personal growth, leadership, self-confidence, and friendship.
Zosa, former Bb. Toledo Independence 2017, trained under the “Kagandahang Flores” training camp. She wants to become a medical doctor and is presently taking up Bachelor of Science in Biology at Velez College. She has a passion for baton-twirling and supports different institutions that help children and young adults with special needs.
On her recent birthday, Zosa shared her blessings with The Missionaries of the Poor Little Lambs, a home for the destitute, physically and mentally handicapped children, and those with cerebral palsy, autism, and Down’s syndrome.
