Art 2 Art welcomed 2017 with the pure sound of music courtesy of Viva Voce. In the New Year’s Day epsode, host Lisa Macuja interviewed the classically trained ensemble led by soprano Camille Lopez Molina and comprised of sopranos Anna Migallos and Roxy Aldiosa, tenor Carlo Mañalac and baritone Roby Malubay.

Viva Voce opened as a summer voice camp for classically trained singers in Baguio in 2010. It has since evolved into a performing group that also trains, helps and guides young talented singers into becoming world-class artists and musicians.

On Jan. 8, theater critics Cora Llamas and Ibarra Mateo assess today’s vibrant Philippine theater scene and the factors that have contributed to this welcome development. They also talk about theater criticism as a discipline.
