AS THE nation mourns the death of 44 members of Philippine National Police—Special Action Force (PNP-SAF), some showbiz personalities expressed their sympathies and paid tribute to the fallen servicemen.

For Fallen 44, Kjwan dedicates the song “Aking Pangako”

One of the most notable is the freehand sketch of comedian Michael V., which he uploaded on his personal Instagram account. He posted, “one of the heartbreaking stories I heard is about a fallen SAF who died viewing his family’s photos on his phone.”

His sketch captured that sad moment in honor of the SAF member for which he captioned the image with “Service. Honor. Justice.”

On Twitter, Marc Abaya of the rock band Kjwan posted “Dedicated to the #Fallen44 #SAF44 Kjwan’s music video for Aking Pangako.”

Released in September last year, the official music video of “Aking Pangako” shows scenes of uniformed men undergoing military training. Abaya explained that, “the video goes hand in hand with the single, since “Aking Pangako” is about brotherhood…the idea of brothers in arms willing to lay down their lives for each other.” –CMB
