The elderly people being cared for by the Missionaries of Charity Formation House in Tayuman, Manila were visited by the Philippine Association of Convention / Exhibition Organizers and Suppliers (PACEOS) on January 10 as part of its corporate social responsibility program.

The missionary is home to 95 elderly people aged 55 to 80 years old who have been abandoned or neglected by their kin.

The activity, aptly named “Mano Po,” is a pay-it-forward gesture to the elderly community by the PACEOS members.

The funds raised through donations from partners and friends were used to buy food to feed the elders for that day and purchase more than a hundred packs of washable and disposable adult diapers.

In February, a second donation run will be done to turn over additional items and a medical bed to add to the amenities of the charity house.
