President Rodrigo Duterte will push through with physically delivering his fifth State of the Nation Address (SONA) at the Batasang Pambansa, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque confirmed Monday.

Roque confirmed to ABS-CBN News that Duterte will still go to Batasang Pambansa for his annual address, even after a lawmaker who was supposed to attend the SONA tested positive for the coronavirus.

Surigao del Sur 2nd District Rep. Johnny Pimentel confirmed that he tested positive for the virus just before the SONA and has since forfeited his slot for the President's report.
