MANY Filipinos surveyed remain satisfied with the performance of key government institutions at the end of 2017, the latest Social Weather Stations poll revealed Thursday, with the net satisfaction ratings of the Senate still “very good” and the House of Representatives, Supreme Court and the Cabinet at “good.”

The latest survey, conducted from Dec. 8 to 16, found 69 percent of those polled satisfied and 14 percent dissatisfied with the performance of the Senate, with the net satisfaction ratings up to a “very good” +56.

But Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno remained unperturbed despite getting the lowest satisfactory rating among the top five government officials in the survey.

Sereno’s lawyer Josa Deinla said her rating will not sidetrack her from implementing the reforms in the judiciary aimed at improving the country’s justice system and strengthening the rule of law.
