ROSARIO, Cavite—A suspected drug pusher died in a buy-bust operation after he fired at policemen trying to arrest him at Marseilla Street in Barangay Bagbag 2 here on Thursday.
Ronald Barron, 48, of Barangay Bagbag, traded gunshots with authorities as he was being arrested by PO1 Robert Legaspi after a Double Barrel Alpha operation in the area, Rosario police investigators said.
Barron fired at Legaspi, who posed as a buyer, with a caliber .38 pistol but missed, and died on the spot. Recovered from the scene were one sachet of suspected shabu Barron sold for P500 plus four more sachets inside a coin purse, money and other paraphernalia.
