CARMONA, Cavite—A construction worker wanted for a homicide charge in Oriental Mindoro was arrested by joint elements of the Carmona and Bansud municipal police stations late Tuesday here.
Edwin Mortel, 38, was wanted for a homicide case filed in September 2013 and was collared on the strength of a warrant issued by Judge Recto A. Calabocal of the Regional Trial Court Fourth Judicial Region Branch 42.
Police Chief Insp. Rey G. Ochavo, Carmona MPS Chief of Police, said Mortel was arrested at his home in Barangay Milagrosa here, and will be turned over to the Bansud MPS in Oriental Mindoro.
