Team Isko campaign strategist Lito Banayo said the cancellation of all motorcades by his supporters was due to the traffic congestion that usually comes with the onset of the Christmas season.

“We do not want to add to the burden of our motorists who are already complaining of heavy traffic after the alert status in Metro Manila and other areas were de-escalated to Level 2,” said Banayo.

“We are aware that with the mad rush for shopping in malls and in places like Divisoria, we can expect monstrous traffic jams. Hence, the cancellation of all motorcades of our supporters beginning today until the first week of January 2022,” said Banayo.

The following Sunday, Nov. 21, thousands of motorcycle riders held their own “Blue Wave Caravan” in Butuan City as a show of support for the Aksyon Demokratiko presidential bet. A similar unity march and motorcade for Mayor Isko was held in Cebu City last Nov. 14

The first highly-successful “Blue Wave Caravan” was held on October 24, which was timed with Mayor Isko’s 47th birthday. His running mate, Dr. Willie Ong has the same birthdate and the good doctor turned 58 years old.

Blue is the official campaign color of Moreno and his Aksyon Demokratiko slate that includes his vice-presidential bet Doc Willie and senatorial bets Samira Gutoc, Dr. Carl Balita and Jopet Sison.
