Thousands of supporters of presidential candidate Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso have stepped up their political campaign activities with the holding on Sunday of simultaneous “blue wave caravans” in Metro Manila and Cebu City.

In the National Capital Region, more than 5,000 motorcycle riders and at least 500 cars and vehicles participated in what organizers billed as the second blue wave caravan.

The first one was held last October 24, which was timed for Domagoso’s 47th birthday and that of his running mate, Dr. Willie Ong, who turned 58 years old.

In Cebu City, more than 500 members of PRIMO-Isko Cebu led by Eduard Ligas lined up along the sidewalks of the Mandaue-Mactan Bridge holding tarpaulins and placards showing the tandem photos of Domagoso and Ong.

Some supporters on board motorcycles, meanwhile, went around the major thoroughfares of Cebu City, and motorists passing by the bridge honk their horns as a show of support.

Domagoso and his Aksyon Demokratiko slate were in Cebu Province on Nov. 5 and 6 as part of their listening tour, with focus on ordinary people. Rep. Pablo John “PJ” Garcia of the third district accompanied Domagoso throughout his two-day Cebu visit.

In Manila, participants wore blue polo shorts and blue T-shirts that literally turned the caravan route into a sea of blue.

From Road 10, the caravan proceeded to Circumferential Road 4 going to the Bonifacio Monument in Caloocan City.

The blue motorcade then traversed the southbound lane of Edsa all the way to Roxas Boulevard in Pasay City.
