UP Diliman grad tops Chemical Engineer exams

Al Christian Regorgo Gobres of University of the Philippines-Diliman has topped the October 2021 Chemical Engineer Licensure Examinations, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced Monday.

Gobres gained a rating of 84 percent to top the list of 321 out of 679 Chemical Engineering graduates who successfully hurdled the examinations.

The examination was given by the Board of Chemical Engineering in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi and Lucena this October 2021.

The registration for the issuance of a Professional Identification Card (ID) and the Certificate of Registration will be done online from Nov. 15 to 19, the PRC said.

The UP Diliman grad was followed by Jeffrey Sibug Palcone of Adamson University, who got a 83.40 percent rating, and Alister Marc Bangsail Domilies of Saint Louis University, who got a 82.50 percent rating.

UP Diliman was also named the top performing school with a 100 percent passing rate.

Rounding out the top ten were Justine Valero Cientos of Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod City (4th, 82.30), Frances Elaisah Cosio de Salit of UP-Los Banos and Elizalde Miguel Salazar Flores of UP Visayas-Iloilo (tied 5th, 82.20), Alexander Jimuel Banaga Vibar of Malayan Colleges Laguna (6th, 82.00), Maricar Balante Lagrada of UP-Los Banos (7th. 81.70);

Joshua Santiago Aldave of University of Santo Tomas and Carla Felise Abejo Salgado of De La Salle University-Manila (tied 8th, 81.30), Vince Alegre Dapanas of Cebu Institute of Technology University (9th, 81.00), and Martin Joseph Lappay Dela Cruz of Cagayan State University-Tuguegarao (10th, 80.90).
