Prior to his announcement next month about his political plans for the 2022 national elections, Senator Manny Pacquiao said Friday he has a 22-point agenda for the Philippines.

After his defeat to Cuban boxer Yordenis Ugas last week, Pacquiao was asked if he will run for President. The Filipino boxing champ replied he would make an announcement next month.

While training in Los Angeles for the August 22 boxing match, Pacquiao disclosed he had crafted this very good solution for our country.

“If we are able to implement this, we will see developments in the Philippines,” he said in an interview with CNN Philippines.

The senator however, enumerated only five of the 22 points in his plan. They are eradicating corruption, economic growth and development, employment program, housing program, and improving the healthcare system.

According to the senator, he will explain each point when he arrives in the Philippines next week.

Pacquiao also said he is open to forging alliances with other officials, regardless of their political inclination, as long as they support his 22-point agenda.

According to the leader of the Pacquiao wing of the ruling PDP-Laban party, he is open to all who want to join him and agree with him.

Pacquiao stressed he has only one condition — they must have the same goals and perspectives.

“If they will help me, then my condition is to work on my 22-rounds priority agenda for the country,” said Pacquiao.

The senator said he has not yet talked to the group of Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi in PDP-Laban regarding the latter’s offer to place him in their senatorial slate for 2022.

“I have not talked to them yet. They do not know if I will be running for president, for the Senate, or if I will retire from being a public servant,” he said.

Cusi said they will rally behind Pacquiao should he decide to run for senator.
