Hospitals are stepping up their digital innovations to improve the access of Filipinos to quality, safe, and affordable healthcare and medical services, especially during the pandemic.

Backed by the successes in supporting digital innovations to small businesses before and during the pandemic, Globe Business now offers a partnership giving digital solutions to the healthcare industry. This would ensure better and advanced medical services through cost-efficient means.

Globe Business, with guest partners HYBrain, Philippine Hospital Association, and Amazon Web Services, is hosting a webinar entitled “Own Progress Through Collaboration: Innovating Healthcare with Digital Technologies” on June 26 at 1 pm.

The session intends to share the latest digitally-enhanced, data-driven healthcare technologies and how it can help small and medium hospitals provide Filipinos a quality healthcare experience, and ease administrative work for the staff.

Manelle Cousart-Suyat, Industry Marketing Head for Healthcare of Globe Business, said digital innovations in the healthcare industries could help address the pressing challenges of going to the hospitals due to high cost and fears of getting infected by COVID-19.

She said Globe Business offers a modular and digital system for hospitals that automates administrative, financial, and logistical processes through a secured platform.

“These digital solutions allows hospitals to manage their resources better, so hospital staff can focus on providing efficient and quality healthcare to patients at a much lower cost,” said Suyat.

Globe Business has partnered with the Bank of Philippine Islands (BPI) through the GMB TechLoans Loan Program to offer hospitals an exclusive term loan facility to purchase ICT Solutions.

With this, they can enjoy Demo-to-Purchase programs at interest rates lower than industry average of 29% for new-to-bank clients, no collateral requirements for loans up to P5 million and more.

This loan program aims to help hospitals adapt to the changing times through quality infrastructure and flexible loan solutions so they can in turn deliver better healthcare services.

For more than two decades, digital innovations have provided ease in public and private transactions, including passport appointments, cashless transactions to access products and services, and online banking, according to Suyat.

The DOH agrees that digital innovations in the healthcare system can provide critical support in the battle against COVID-19.

DOH Epidemiology Bureau Director Dr. Alethea De Guzman, said digital innovations could help address the missing information on COVID-19 cases, including the cause of deaths, and provide the government with real-time data collection.
