Six suspected drug dealers were arrested in three separate police operations in Paranaque, Mandaluyong, and Caloocan during the weekend, police said.

National Capital Region Police Office director Maj. Gen. Vicente Danao said the latest operations also resulted in the seizure of more than P600,000 worth of shabu.

Arrested in Paranaque City were John Edward  Bustamante, 28; Jennylyn Sumaylo, 24, and Jacky Yongco, 30. They were caught selling the prohibited substance around 11:50 a.m. in front of Manila Memorial in Barangay BF Homes, Parañaque City

Suspect John Jaul Gonzales, 34, was arrested after selling the illegal drugs to a policeman disguised as a buyer.

Recovered from his possession were two pieces of heat-sealed plastic sachets containing 50 grams of shabu worth P340,000, a P1,000 bill, and the boodle money used in the entrapment.

An hour later, operatives of the Northern Police District – Drug Enforcement Unit conducted another buy-bust operation against two known drug dealers at the corner of Riverside Street and Domato Avenue in Barangay 188 Caloocan City.

The operation resulted in the arrest of Sandra Morta, 35, and Remey Fortuna, 51.

Seized from the suspects were 15 grams of shabu worth P102,000 and a thousand peso bill used in the police operation.

Danao commended his men for the latest accomplishment, saying their successful operation is part of the government’s crackdown on drug dealing in Metro Manila.

“I commend the successful buy-bust operations of Mandaluyong Police, Paranaque Police, and the Northern Police District – Drug Enforcement Unit which led to the confiscation of another big amount of illegal drugs,” said Danao.

“NCRPO’s intensified campaign against illegal drugs will continue through the unwavering efforts of our operatives toward a drug free community,” he added.
