The Caloocan City Government has held a dialogue among utility companies regarding the repair of power cables in some areas in the city.
Under the directive of Mayor Oscar Malapitan, the dialogue was conducted so the utility companies could assist the City Government in organizing hanging and tangled wiring.
“We want to ensure the safety of the people in the inconvenience and danger posed by these cables. Therefore, we ask for your help and support to clean and repair them. As early as now, we are grateful for your future action in the matter,” said City Administrator and Officer-in-charge of the City Engineering Department Oliver Hernandez.
In the meeting, it was decided to form a Task Force to take the lead in the project and other parts of the City Government and the companies regarding the project.
There will also be a memorandum of agreement that will be discussed in the next dialogue. Among those who participated in the dialogue were representatives from Globe, Smart, Meralco, PDLT, Converge, and others.
