The Quezon City Metropolitan Trial Court on Thursday postponed the arraignment of ex-senator Antonio Trillanes IV for the sedition case filed against him by the Justice department for allegedly plotting to oust President Rodrigo Duterte.

Branch 138 reset the arraignment to Jan. 21 next year after Trillanes filed a motion to quash his sedition case.

Two priests-Flaviano Villanueva and Albert Alejo—pleaded not guilty to the sedition charge filed against them.

The two were among the 11 charged by the department in February over their alleged involvement in the production and dissemination of the viral Ang Totoong Narcolist videos linking the President and his children to the drug trade.

The person in the video, Peter Joemel Advincula alias Bikoy, later retracted his statements in the video against Duterte.

He implicated some bishops in the alleged ouster plot but they, along with Vice President Leni Robredo, were cleared.
