The Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor Is set to hold a comprehensive virtual convention for 100 accredited urban poor organizations in October in order to provide them with a variety of knowledge, especially on the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic.

Chairman and chief executive officer Alvin Feliciano said the purpose is to inform the urban poor communities of the steps and actions taken for their welfare.

“In this convention, we will also give everyone the opportunity to hear their grievances and problems, so that we can think of appropriate solutions,” he said.

Feliciano said the PCUP is aware that the marginalized sector is consisting of the poor and informal settler families who are the most affected by the pandemic.

He said that the Commission will provide the 100 urban poor organization leaders with their own zoom rooms.
