The fall of notorious Abu Sayyaf leader Idang Susukan is a big step forward in the country’s all-out war on terror, Philippine Army chief, Lt. Gen. Cirilito Sobejana said.

“This is a welcome development in our fight against terrorism,” Sobejana said in a telephone on

Friday following the turnover of Susukan by Moro National Liberation Front chairman Nur Misuari to elements of the Philippine National Police in Davao City Thursday night.

Sobejana said Susukan must face the full force of the law of the heinous crimes he committed.

“Let the due course of the law be followed,” Sobejana said.
