NBI rescues child held on P1 million ransom

A one-year-old child, who was held on a P1 million ransom, was rescued by the National Bureau of Investigation during a rescue operation recently in San Pedro, Laguna.

A couple, who earlier borrowed and failed to return the child to her parents, were arrested and charged with kidnapping.

A case of Violation of Article 270, “Kidnapping and Failure to Return a Minor” of the Revised Penal Code was filed against the suspects, spouses Charito, and Eleser Sause.

On June 25, 2020, Nadjullah Rashid, a resident of Binan City, Laguna, filed a case of “kidnapping” against spouses Eleser and Charito Sause.
