Police arrested five persons, including a nurse attendant, for illegal drug trade in a buy-bust operation at the basement of East Avenue Medical Center in Quezon City.

Brig. Gen. Ronnie Montejo, Quezon City Police District chief, identified the suspects as Emmanuel Leongson, 45, a nurse attendant from Barangay Bahay Toro, Quezon City; Guardo Herminio, 41, a garbage collector from Caloocan City; James Daguian, 47, a janitor from Barangay Culiat, QC; Rowel Tina, 27, of Barangay Batasan Hills, QC, and Bonifacio Castillo, 37, of Barangay Tatalon, QC, both morgue attendants.

A confidential informant reported to authorities the shabu peddling activity of Leongson, alias Cy, inside the EAMC.

On July 6 at about 10:30 p.m., a buy-bust operation was conducted at the hospital’s basement.

A policeman acted as a poseur buyer, who was able to buy P2,000 worth of shabu from Herminio and Daguian.
