Cops nab five drug dealers; seize P680k worth of shabu

Police arrested five suspected drug dealers and seized P680,000 worth of shabu in an entrapment operation early Thursday morning in Paranaque City.

Arrested were Ali Saliling alias Apple, 30, and Baikan Mokamad, 47, both residents of Barangay San Antonio; Apolinio Plata Jr. alias Pol, 39, and Melvin Juarez alias Burog, 25, both of Barangay Moonwalk, and Francis Darwin Matugina, 33, of Barangay Sto Niño, all in Parañaque City.

Members of the Paranaque City Police - Station Drug Enforcement Unit led by P/Maj. Anthony Alising arrested the five suspects during a buy-bust operation conducted at Block 4 Lot 2 Nora Luisa Subdivision in Barangay San Antonio Valley 8.

The police operatives made the entrapment in close coordination with the barangay and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency officials who identified the main target of the operation one alias Apple as among those persons in its drug list and operating in the area.

A police officer acted as a poseur buyer and was able to negotiate with Apple about P1,000 worth of shabu, resulting in her arrest and four of her companions.
