Manila City Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso has vowed to the residents of the city and its visitors that he would be able to transform the city to a new and much better one before his term ends in 2022.
“We’ll show you a new era of Manila—ang Bagong Maynila,” said Domagoso.
Domagoso said this on Wednesday, during his keynote speech at Megaworld Global Estate’s Kickoff 2020 at Hotel Lucky Chinatown.
Domagoso disclosed how he manages his time between his engagements and responsibilities as the mayor of the nation’s capital.
“Your priority should always be clear in your mind, I know my duties but there is no perfect way to manage your time. However, there should be a balance because at the end of the day, you owe it to yourself, to your future,” he said.
He also stressed the importance of synergy between government agencies and its consituents in order carry out and attain goals.
“I cannot do it alone. The success of every government, every policy is because of the cooperation of the people,” he said.
Likewise, he said his long-term vision for the city involves vertical housing projects for the less fortunate.
“Someday, somehow, we’ll be a better Manila. With no squatters in Tondo or Binondo. We’ll show you a new era of Manila—ang Bagong Maynila,” the mayor said.
