The Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) in Olongapo City has cited the top 20 most outstanding business taxpayers of 2021 and 2022.
Representatives of SM City Olongapo Central and SM City Olongapo Downtown accepted the plaques of appreciation from Olongapo City Mayor Rolen Paulino, Jr. for making it once again to the list of top business taxpayers.
Since 2013, SM Olongapo has been consistently leading the taxpayers list, making it a remarkable benefactor for sustaining, maintaining, and improving the public services provided by the government to its citizens.
The Most Outstanding Business Taxpayers for 2021 include the Meridien Business Leader, Inc. – The SM Store SM, City Olongapo Downtown; Supervalue, Inc.- SM Supermarket, SM City Olongapo Downtown; Main Shopping Princess Phils., Inc. -The SM Store, SM City Olongapo Central; Supervalue, Inc. – SM Supermarket, SM City Olongapo Central; and Star Appliance Center, Inc. – SM City Olongapo Downtown.
For 2022, the list includes Main Shopping Princess Phils., Inc. – The SM Store SM City Olongapo Central; Wilcon Depot, Inc.; Meridien Business Leader, Inc. – The SM Store, SM City Olongapo Downtown; Supervalue, Inc. – SM Supermarket, SM City Olongapo Central; and Supervalue, Inc. – SM Supermarket, SM City Olongapo Downtown.
BPLO head Sandra Dee Ecalnir said the topnotchers in paying business taxes have helped a lot in implementing development projects in Olongapo City.”
“They are our partners for the economic growth of Olongapo City,” she said. Paulino commended these companies and expressed hope this would inspire other taxpayers to do the same and contribute to the revenue of the city.
