Agents nab Syrian, seize P32m in drugs

The National Bureau of Investigation-Task Force Against Illegal Drugs (TFAID) seized illegal drugs valued at P32 million and arrested a Syrian national in the course of the operation.

Information was initially received that a certain Mhd  Alaadin Qwiader, alias “Alaa.”

Qweider is peddling dangerous drugs— cocaine, high-grade marijuana or kush, and ecstasy—mostly in the area of the National Capital Region and at his bar in Makati City.

Further, Alaa allegedly supplies illegal drugs to owners of some high-end bars in Makati City, who, in turn, sell these illegal drugs at the comfort room of their establishments.

The NBI-TFAID operatives implemented the search warrant  in Alan’s address which resulted in the seizure of 8,681 grams of high-grade marijuana or kush, 511.5339 grams of cocaine, 4,512 tablets of different shapes and colors of suspected ecstasy, one Jericho 9mm pistol, one magazine pistol for 9mm ammunition, and 50 pieces ammunitions. Meanwhile, a drug test showed Alaa is positive for the use of cocaine.

The suspect was charged for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunitions before the City Prosecutor’s Office of Mandaluyong City.
