ANGELES CITY — Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. has ordered the immediate release of ₱10,000 in financial assistance to each of the six households affected by a fire in Barangay Virgen Delos Remedios on Saturday.

The cash assistance to the households, composed of 21 individuals, will be charged to the Office of the City Mayor.

The Local Finance Committee (City Budget Office, City Accounting Office, and the City Treasurer’s Office) are now processing the immediate release of the assistance, the mayor’s office said in a statement.

On the order of Lazatin, the families also will receive food packages and goods such as mats, candles, hygiene materials, towels, which will be distributed by the City Social Welfare and Development Office led by Edna Duaso.

Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer-in-Charge Rodolfo Simeon said that one was reported injured, who was quickly assessed and treated by the medical rescue team of ACDRRMO.
